The 64x64 cm wooden planter with a plastic container has external dimensions of 64 × 64 × 35 cm and weighs 7.2 kg. The inner plastic container holds 65 litres. The cover is round with wooden slats around its circumference; the bottom of the container is plastic for durability. These dimensions suit larger plants, smaller ornamental shrubs or clumps of grasses.

The cover is made from solid spruce in its natural colour, with no surface finish. Outdoors, spruce naturally weathers to a silvery-grey patina — this is intentional and part of the design. If you want to keep the original light colour for a long time, we recommend treating the wood with a stain designed for outdoor wooden elements. We chose solid spruce for its strength, availability and the honest look of Czech craftsmanship.

The cover is shipped flat-packed for cheaper transport and easier handling. Assembly is quick — a strap with a buckle runs around the inside of the cover, which you use to pull the parts together. No screwdriver, glue or other tools are needed; everything holds mechanically. One person can assemble it in a few minutes. Once assembled, insert the plastic inner container and the planter is ready for planting.

Untreated spruce will last outdoors for several seasons and gradually develop a silvery-grey patina, which actually extends its lifespan. If you want to use the cover for many years without a patina, treat the wood once a season with an exterior wood stain. The plastic bottom of the inner container protects the wood from constant contact with damp soil — which in itself extends its lifespan.

Before placing it, we recommend checking the load capacity of your balcony — the cover with the container fitted and moist soil weighs over 70 kg.

The 65-litre container can hold medium-sized plants — ornamental grasses, bamboo, smaller conifers, oleander, lavender, hydrangea or larger clumps of herbs. The volume is also sufficient for smaller trees (such as a Japanese maple up to 1.5 m). The plastic container does not come with drainage holes, but you can easily drill them in the bottom so that excess water does not leave the roots waterlogged.
