Wooden kitchenware — honest craftsmanship for every kitchen
Wooden kitchen utensils are hygienic, gentle on knife edges and pan surfaces, and age beautifully. A well-cared-for board or spoon lasts for decades.
The category covers chopping boards, serving boards, bowls and plates, trays, boxes and storage tins. Utensils include cooking spoons, turners, ladles and large spoons. Tabletop accessories include coasters, placemats, napkin holders and salt cellars.
What wood we use
For kitchenware we use almost exclusively solid beech — strong, dense and with a tight grain that does not splinter. Beech is the traditional choice for food contact thanks to its hardness and moisture resistance. Sometimes we also work with oak or acacia.
How to care for wooden kitchen utensils
Wash boards, spoons and bowls by hand in warm soapy water, rinse and dry immediately. Do not put in the dishwasher and do not soak. Once a month rub the surface with food-safe oil (linseed, coconut) — this keeps the wood elastic and water-repellent.
Tip: Serving boards make great wedding gifts — we engrave them with the couple's names or the wedding date.
